Ride4Life Motorcycle Stunt Show Added on Saturday
Paul Grodell, Founding Pastor of Beyond The Walls Church (BTWC), has released the schedule of events for ReCreation Weekend, which will be held June 24-26 in Elyria. The purpose of the weekend is to raise money and awareness for Creation House, a treatment and transitional housing facility to be built on the BTWC campus.
As previously announced, ReCreate: A Concert For Change will be Friday, June 24 at the Elyria Schools Performing Arts Center. The fundraiser will include dinner, auctions, and premium concert seats; concert only tickets are also available. The event is headlined by The Marshall Tucker Band, best known for hits such as “Can’t You See,” “Fire On The Mountain,” and “Heard It In A Love Song,” with special guests Jimmie Bratcher and Jason Green & the Tritones, featuring Becky Boyd.
Saturday, June 25 will feature an entire day of events on the Beyond The Walls Church (BTWC) campus in Elyria starting in the morning with The Pipes in the Park Motorcycle Run. Registration will begin at 10 am, with a bike blessing at 10:30, and departure at 11. Donations for this event are $20 a motorcycle and $5 for an additional rider when preregistered by June 15; proceeds will be shared between BTWC and IRON BARS Ministry.
For those who don’t ride, family friendly activities begin at noon and include games and inflatables for the children, music, vendors, food trucks, and more with a free Community Cookout from 2-4.
There will also be free Ride4Life (R4L) motorcycle stunt performances at 1, 3, and 6 pm. The R4L crew will be in attendance throughout the entire day, with a DJ, posters & giveaways, interactive bike displays, and photo opportunities as well.
R4L was founded by Scott Caraboolad who has a long established national reputation as an innovative stunt motorcyclist; as founder of the former Starboyz, Caraboolad made a living doing things on bikes that nobody else would even attempt. After a life-changing experience and some soul searching, Caraboolad stepped away from his rock star lifestyle and focused on helping other people transform their lives.
The weekend will wrap-up on Sunday, June 26 with an outdoor, nondenominational community worship service.
“Creation House will change lives. ReCreation weekend will change lives,” said Grodell. “Simply put, Friday is to raise money and Saturday is to raise awareness. The heroin epidemic in Northeast Ohio is out of control. People are dying every single day. We need to get Creation House open as quickly as possible and we need community support to do so.”
“We want individuals and businesses to come out and support Friday’s concert financially by purchasing tickets, donating items for the auctions, and sponsoring the event because we need funds to bring the space (in the former Roosevelt School) up to code so we can open,” said Creation House Executive Director Mark Merlihan.
“The goal of Friday is flat out to raise money. But the goal of the rest of the weekend is to bring people to the BTWC campus and build awareness of who we are. We want to be seen not only as a church or as a treatment facility but also as a community center where everyone is welcome.”

Tickets for the Fundraiser include dinner catered by Taste of Excellence, silent & live auctions, and premium concert seats for $125 and $175 and go on sale Friday, April 29 at recreationconcert.com.
