ReCreation Weekend will take place June 24-26 to raise funds and awareness for Creation House, a treatment and transitional housing facility to be opened on the campus of Beyond The Walls Church (BTWC) in Elyria. Since the residential program will be housed in a renovated school building, funds are needed to bring it up to code for an occupancy permit. With two people a week dying of heroin overdose in Lorain County alone, time is of the essence.
Friday night will feature a fundraiser with a catered dinner, auctions, and a concert headlined by The Marshall Tucker Band. Saturday is a community day with a motorcycle run, vendors/ music/inflatables, three free performances by the Ride4Life motorcycle stunt group, and a free community cookout.
