Sold Out Benefit to be held at Hard Rock Rocksino on Sunday
Howard Perl, CEO of Howard Perl Productions and event organizer, has announced that Rock & Roll to the Rescue Part 2 has officially sold out. The event raises money for Rescue Village, a sanctuary for homeless dogs, cats, horses, and other animals in Geauga County.
The benefit is a sequel to the inaugural Rock & Roll to the Rescue gala featuring Chubby Checker, which was held in January and hailed by The Plain Dealer as “one of the best evenings of the year.”
Eddie Money will headline Part 2, which raises funds for Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village. It is the first Rocksino appearance for the legendary rocker known for hits such as “Two Tickets to Paradise,” “Take Me Home Tonight,” and “Baby Hold On.” The evening will be hosted by original MTV VJ, and former Geauga County resident, Nina Blackwood. Blackwood currently hosts several radio programs including Nina Blackwood’s Absolutely ‘80s, New Wave, and Sirius XM's ‘80s on 8 and co-authored VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV’s First Wave.
In addition to Money and Blackwood, many other guests are slated to share the spotlight Sunday evening, including recording artist Aleem, magician Jason Allen, dancers from the University of Akron, Fox 8’s Dick Goddard, and celebrity chefs Anna Harouvis and Dante Boccuzzi.
Rock & Roll to the Rescue Part 2, presented by Ganley Subaru of Bedford and The Barkley Pet Hotel & Day Spa, will take place this Sunday, November 8th at the Hard Rock Rocksino - Northfield Park, located at 10777 Northfield Road in Northfield, Ohio. A pre-show cocktail fundraiser begins at 6:00 pm with showtime set for 7:30 pm. Attendees must be 21 and over.
Rescue Village, located in Russell Township, is a vital center for animal welfare in Northeast Ohio. Animals at Rescue Village are cared for until they find a new home and are never euthanized due to age, special needs, or lack of space. 100% of the care of these animals comes from private donations.
